In the fall of 2010, Janelle Hansberger dropped a home computer on her foot, causing a small cut. Shortly after, what appeared to be a simple cut caused her to suffer from a life-threatening, flesh-eating bacteria that lead to a condition called necrotizing fasciitis. Janelle was in the hospital for 40 days and was told by doctors she nearly died four times. Ultimately, doctors had to perform an amputation on her left leg below the knee to stop the infection and save her life.

In the world of women's professional motocross, Tarah Gieger is on top. Since her pro debut in 2003, she has won at every major contest the sport has to offer. She was the first female to compete in the Motocross of Nations and later won a gold medal in the first women's Moto event at the X Games, where she also made history as the first female to land a back flip to dirt on a motorcycle in competition.
